he immense success of the Salman Khan starrer Dabangg paved way for its remake it Tamil and Telugu. While in the Tamil version titled Osthe, it was Simbu who played the lead role, Pawan Kalyan was roped in to star in the Telugu version Gabbar Singh.

Osthe released a few months ago and this film did not meet the expectations that it had generated. This has upset Pawan Kalyan, say sources. The star has suggested to the director to make some changes to the script. Following this, several scenes including comedy has been included, say sources.

SRI DEVI RETURNS WITH ENGLISH VINGLISH

Sri Devi has agreed to star in a trilingual titled English Vinglish. The film is to be directed by noted director Balki’s wife Gauri Shinde. Sri Devi reportedly agreed to face the camera once again as she liked the script very much.

Though the plan initially was to make the film in Hindi, the filmmakers felt that Sri Devi has a huge appeal all over India. Therefore, English Vinglish will also be released in Tamil and Telugu. Amitabh Bachchan will play a small role in this film, say sources.

Chandra Sekhar Yeleti, the director who created a niche for himself with different films, is doing his next film with Gopichand. This film was launched this morning.Rajamouli attended the event. BVSN Prasad is the producer of this film.

This is an adventurous movie based on treasure hunt. Hero’s characterization and attitude will be different in this film, said Yeleti. Gopi Chand said that he is mighty impressed with Yeleti’s story.

Earlier the duo did Okkadunnadu which was an average grosser. This time they are trying a different film with high budget. Regular shoot will start in first week of April and will be ready for release by September.

RGV’s political thriller ‘Reddygaru poyaru’

Veteran director Ram Gopal Varma has sent a new press note regarding his next film. He stated that he is planning to do a political thriller drama about the current state of state politics. The story is based on the incidents happened in state after the death of Ex CM YSR.

Ram Gopal Varma is not interested in politics but the ever dying values in the political field have triggered the idea of making a film about it. This film is titledReddygaru Poyaru and RGV is yet to announce the star cast and other details.

RGV has sent many press notes in the recent past about his future ventures. He didn’t say word about what happened to Ramayanam or Pelli. Let’s hope that RGV takes RGP to the sets.
